Yesterday was really busy on the phones for support, no major issues just clients asking questions and needing some answers. Every moment validating our decision about the IPS-Hub resource.
This morning I set my Lad up with a whole raft of tasks including the site map that we need for the i-Tr@der Business Platform. Actually Claire at Business Blog Angel told me about Site Map generators and so once we'd tracked down some free ones and run them we realised that we needed to update all our pages with the correct titles etc. etc. So a task that I was delaying for a while now assumed high priority, aaaah, such is life. Also he needs to rattle off a couple of new Video Tutorials and set some standards up for how we want these to be generated to give some consistency to what we are doing.
I'm down training a new client who have contracted for 6 licences for the i-Tr@der system. All but one of these is in West Africa, so a very interesting project indeed. Today I'm spending the time going through the architecture of the system and how to set up users, desktops and really scope out what he will need to know. More video tutorial potentials show they face as I go through this with him.....
The meeting regarding the Table Tennis player's parents last night. Yes Will is a potential olympic hopeful for 2012 but is outside the funding spotlight. That is where we come in..... we need a lot of money and I've come up with an idea to get it. We have a buy in now from the parents, I'm off to Hungary next week to talk with Will directly (he is practicing over there at the moment), his coach is already on board with the idea and I have lined up some direct sponsors to assist us already. It's looking good..... check back often as I will be keeping this thread updated as we move through the next couple of weeks with some excting announcements!
This evening I'm nipping around to see my dad's brother. My father passed away some time ago and his younger brother has some health challenges as well now. We crack open a couple of bottles of wine and I accept an offer for a malt whisky which was a tumbler full !! no measures here..... the evening passes so quickly and before we know it 1:30am. a 20 minute walk home at -3c clears the head though!
